Who answers
An independent gutter contractor who works in your area, or a company that books visits for contractors. The call costs nothing, and this site does no gutter work itself.
The questions
- What needs doing, or what you see: water over the front, a sag, a gap at the wall, a downspout down.
- Where: town or ZIP code, so the call reaches someone who serves it.
- The house: one story or two, roof material, rough length of gutter, trees over the roof.
- Ownership: whether you own the home or are calling for the owner.
- When: how soon, and two or three times for a visit.
Not on the phone
A firm price. Gutter work is priced after someone sees the height, the length, the roof and the fascia. Expect the quote in writing. What sets the price
One call
Book the visit on the first call. If something is sold to you at your home for $25 or more, the FTC's Cooling-Off Rule gives you until midnight of the third business day to cancel.
Calls the line cannot take
Existing customers of a gutter company with a question about their account, a bill or a warranty should call that company. The line also does not take commercial buildings or job inquiries.
