Figures without the house in front of someone are guesses, so this site lists what moves the price instead of quoting one.
Cleaning
- Linear feet of gutter and number of separate runs
- Height: one story or two, steep pitch, runs over decks or slopes
- Roof surface, and whether it can be walked
- How full the gutters are; guards to lift and refit
- Downspouts, especially buried lines
- Hauling the debris away
New gutters
- Linear feet, corners, end caps and outlets
- Material, thickness, size and profile
- Downspouts: count, size and where they discharge
- Hangers: type and spacing (closer in snow country)
- Fascia found soft when the old gutters come off
- Guards, and removal of the old gutters
Comparing two quotes
Put the same lines side by side. A lower total that leaves out downspouts, fascia or hauling is not lower. Ask what the warranty covers and for how long, and see what your state requires of the contractor in hiring a gutter contractor.
